So, uh, hi! This exists now. Sure, let's have a sticky post for introductions and whatnot, come on in and say hi. Tell us who's your favorite pilot as well!

I'll pull the rules over here so they're handy: Be polite! Remember that every book, ship, character, or version of canon may be someone's favorite. Respect others' headcanons; there's usually no sole correct interpretation of canon. And remember to have fun!

I guess I'll start: I'm JT, my favorite pilot is Wes, my partner is the_dour_one aka Leia, and I'm the comm admin. Leia and I have written some fifty percent of the Wes/Hobbie on AO3 as of the last time I did the math.

I'm Sharpie, have been a pilots fan since first spotting an X-wing on screen, and my favourite pilot is Wedge. Currently in the throes of writing the first in (hopefully) a series of longfics focussed on Renegade Squadron (Wedge needs a third squadron so that he can have a Wing rather than Lusankya).

I'm Ellie. My favorite pilot is Hobbie. I've been fascinated with x-wing pilots since before I can remember... My favorite thing about Star Wars has always been the fact that a random person could make a difference in a big battle for freedom.

Hello, I'm Shade. I haven't reread the books recently but they are faves of mine! I particularly adored the Wraith books, but choosing a fave out of that squadron of disasters is so hard; it was often the ways they interacted with each other that I loved more than any single character. (I could also go for: every woman.) Still, some faves: Wedge, Wes, Tycho, Ton Phanan, Lara Notsil.

Yes! <3 It's such a delight to have so many cool women with different skills and personalities in a genre that can so easily become entirely dominated by male characters. I am here for all of them.

Agreed! They genuinely feel like people 90% of the time and thats amazing! The 10% they don't is when they're written with the have the "gets married, has to have babies" curse. But even so its not all of them, and I am super grateful for that.

Hi, I'm Mynock. Wes is a particular favorite among the pilots, I suppose, for getting me back into Star Wars after a long time away, but I am equally fond of Hobbie, Tycho, and Wedge, as well as an assortment of other pilots and pilot-adjacents.

My fandom niches at the moment are my unfinished series featuring always-a-girl Wes, and an ongoing fascination with the Cracken family.
